Charlotte Tip-Off. (Mar 10, 2013) Thirty-seven teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia tipped off the AYBA 2013 seas in a two-day event at Carolina Courts in Charlotte, NC. Seven grade division champions were crowned:

| Tenth Grade Boys | Carolina Blue Streak (Asheville, NC) |
| JV Grade Girls | Capital City Cyclones (Raleigh, NC) |
The teams also attended the Friday NBA game between the Charlotte Bobcats and Oklahoma City Thunder. Six AYBA teams played preliminary exhibition games.
STATE DIRECTORS WORKSHOP. AYBA will hold a state director's workshop DEC. 15 – 16, 2012 in Charlotte, N.C. Carolina Courts and the Wingate Hotel will host the event. A second workshop is planned in early 2013.
REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS. Hoping to expand into new areas, AYBA plans to introduce regional tournaments in 2013. Areas being considered are Georgia, West Virginia, Indiana and New England.

Portraits and Action Pictures. Chris Paul of C.rescent P.hotography took team and individual portraits on Sunday. He was also on hand Monday taking shots of the players and teams in action during the first day of games. These pictures are avaialable at the C.rescent P.erspectives Photography Website.
